Eastern.Veterans.A.C. is the Specialist Club
for Veterans or Masters in The Eastern Region

for Men and Women over 35 years of Age.
You are eligible to  join and compete immediately  you reach that age.

The main object  is to provide VETERAN ONLY COMPETITION  and make accessible such competition at NATIONAL, European and  World level through it’s affiliation to the British Masters. A.F. which is the National organisation for  Veterans Athletics.

This Federation represents all affiliated clubs at world and European level through the I.A.A.F.,
but has no formal standing within U.K.A.

E.V.A.C. is an ENGLAND ATHLETICS Registered Club, and those who wish, can join and register as a FIRST CLAIM member. This allows you to participate in all competitions under  U.K.A. Rules.

The majority of the club’s members are SECOND  CLAIM. Already being registered with  ENGLAND ATHLETICS or  the A.R.C.

How is an EAST ANGLIAN RUNNER DEFINED ?
Firstly as a Member of E.V.A.C.
Followed by known erstwhile members.
Those who record an outstanding result regarding their age.
Or are related to one of the above.
Those who run at different venues  other than their " home " base.
Plus those who competed in Eastern Race years gone by.
Think of it more as a magazine, in which to flick through, and look at in what ever order you wish.
Some things will be added too, some will be removed, others, like the Laws of the Meads and the Persians, will altereth Not. Every effort will be made to keep the results up to date !

FEBRUARY 18th The bitterly cold weather went away & Bedford & Kings Lynn were back in actionl. Fields at all venues were much improved
The East Anglian Veteran Runners in the other This time were conspicuous by  their presence  !

Mary Holmes for the third time this month headed the percentage tables in the East anglian Region

BOTH THE HALF MARATHON AT NORWICH & AT BEDFORD PROVED TO BE  DIAPOINTING, WITH THOUSANDS PARTICIPATING ONLY A HANDFUL OF  " EAST ANGLIAN VETERAN RUNNERS "  COMPETED IN EITHER RACE. THOUGH ONE WAS IN THE EAST OF THE REGION AND ONE IN THE WEST.
